12 32d notes = 1 quarter note
HI all,
I want to create an arpeggio with 12 notes (32d's) in one quarter note.
I tried entering the complete value then using cntrl/12 but because '12' is a 2 digit number, I think the program doesn't recognize it. (the result is a 2 =1 value instead of 12=1 quarter note)
Thanks,
Sandy

So you want 12 32nd notes in the space of 8. Should work with:
select quarter note, Menu -> Notes -Y> Tuplets -> Other... -> 12 / 8
Unfortunalty it does not.
Edit:
Well it does, it just doesn't create 12 32nds restes, but 3 8th rests. You can however now enter your 12 32nds

Enter a quarter note, leave note entry, select it and go to Note -> Tuplets -> Other, enter 12 / 8 for 12 32nd notes in the time of 8 (a quarter). select the first rest and click on the 32nd icon or (2) and enter your notes. And yes, it does work ;) see file attached.

Or just use Ctrl-3. 3/2 and 12/8 is the same thing after all, mathmatically.
