Comments
Possibly related to #23744: Numpad inactive on Linux
So shortcuts via numpad work with the AppImage of 2.0.3 and the master, but not with 2.1. So maybe for a 2.2 could someone check the versions of the included Qt-libraries (if this is the reason)?
And just for info:
The AppImage of 2.0.3 is using Qt 5.5.1
The distribution package (OpenSuse Leap) of 2.1 is using Qt 5.6.1
The Appimage of master is using Qt 5.8.0
The AppImage of 2.1 (where this bug occurs) is using Qt 5.4.2.

It don't work neither with 2.2 (a09f8e2), but it works with 3.0 (f59ca31)

and again in https://musescore.org/en/node/275063, with MuseScore 2.3.2
Dependence between the AppImage and the included Qt-Version for this bug confirmed here: https://musescore.org/de/node/275137#comment-847998
Not sure if it's possible to use another Qt-Version for next minor releases before a release of the master version. One difficulty could be: https://musescore.org/en/node/271033#comment-828348
It works with MuseScore 3.x, so should be marked as fixed.
