Rare crack sound with new MuseScore 2.1
Hi, gang!!!
I wonder if the following behaviour is a general issue, or just an isolated case:
I use Linux, Ubuntu Studio 16.04.2 LTS, with all the last securities updates, into a 64 bit machine.
Now I downloaded the last MuseScore 2.1 version and I tested with "my" music works (actually, not mine of course).
And... now I can hear a really annoyed crack sound at some french horns notes. The sound is like the whip sound. The crack is only present into the french horns sound.
I use the following soundfont files, in this order, into the "Synthesizer" (BTW... I wonder why to call it a "Synthesizer" if it doesn't synthesize any??? It just plays the sounds from the soundfont files, so... it is just a SoundFonts player):
GeneralUser GS MuseScore v1.44.sf2
FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3
TimGM6mb.sf2
This issue is only present with the GeneralUser GS MuseScore v1.44.sf2 soundfonts file.
How could I fix it (if I could)???
Blessings & Greetings from Chile!!!!!!!
Juan

Could you please attach the score you are having problems with so we can test?

Please, check all you want to check.

Thanks, but can tell us which of these files we should listen to in order to hear the problem you are hearing? Also which measure specifically the problem occurs in. It isn't necessarily the same on all systems.

Hi, Mark!!!
To hear the rare sound, please, use the "bronces" (brass) file. I think you will hear the problem "on-the-fly".
Greetings & Blessings!!!!!!!
