Follow Text option in Tempo Text. How it works?

Marc Sabatella asked how the "Follow Text" option should work for tempo text. Here is an answer.

When the "Follow text" option is unchecked, there is no link between the tempo text and BPM. Users can enter anything in the score and the BPM can be change independently in the Inspector.

When the "Follow text" option is checked and the tempo text is in the form "note value = number" (♩ = 120 or ♪ = 140), the BPM will be derived from the text. It wors for quarter note, half note, eight note and their dotted counterparts. It should also work if there is text before the note value or after the number, if there is space around the equal sign or not.
