Notes messed up?
Whenever I type in a note on any staff in any clef, it automatically places the note two octaves below the "middle octave" (the one on the staff. Any idea why it's doing this?

The first note you enter om a staff will be in the same octave as the last note you entered, even if that was another staff. So if you were just wo rking on a tuba part then switch to flute, the first note will still be in the tuba octave. But as soon as you moe it into the right pctave with a few clicks of crel-arrow, then subsequent notes will appear in that same octave.

That's what I thought, too, but even when I start a new project, it just defaults to two octaves lower that what it did originally (this just started happening two days ago, and it didn't used to)

What clef are you using? What instrument? Is it perhaps an instrument that transposes by a large onterval, like baritone saxphpne? is concert pitch on or off? How are you entering the notes? Attaching a sample score and precise steps to reproduce is always helpful.
