Beaming/playback incorrectly done and un-editable.
EXACT reproduction steps on presumably any score.
1. Make sure key is in 4/4, with a 2/4 measure with two quarter notes in it after your 4/4 time. Minimum of 2 4/4 measures. Have it return to 4/4 after the 2/4, with as many eighth notes in as many following measures as you wish. One measure minimum.
2. Place a 2/4 in the last 4/4 measure.
3. Place a 3/4 in the same measure, over-writing the 2/4 and/or just appearing in front of it.
4. Add a repeat at the end of the new 3/4 measure.
5. Delete the repeat.
6. Delete the time signature change.
7. If done correctly (and it is indeed reproducible), the eighth notes should be beamed in a group of six followed by a group of 2, while in 4/4 time.
Result: Eighth notes unable to be beamed any other way, severe formatting impairment. Playback skips back and forth over the entire page until the next page is reached and formatting returns to normal. 'Phantom' third beat is unable to have notes added.
Bugged score is attached in case of inability to reproduce, issue is on page 7, measures 27-31.

does the same problem sho in a recent 'nightly build' too? There won't be any fixes to the 1.x series anymore...
The problem does NOT persist in the latest nightly build(2013-04-28-1908-322bdba.7z). There IS an extra measure of rest that is generated, but otherwise there are no adverse affects to beaming OR playback.
So it is fixed, right?
In a way yes, it is.
