Time signature spacing

Using Musescore 1.3

As you can see in these two pictures, the spacing of the time signatures is kinda wonky, especially in the second one. Also, in the second one, there's a giant gap between the time signature and the first rest. I think one reason this is happening is the scaling. Since I'm using over 30 instruments, I had to scale it down from 1.7ish (default) to .6, which may have cause some issues. Does anyone know how to fix this? Hopefully this won't be a problem for Musescore 2.0.
