It also seems to apply to notes that are cross-staff, or just from another staff.
This seems similar?: #21186: Noteheads of multiple upstem grace notes incorrectly positioned

I hope this title is better?
If herad of this or a similar problem in http://notensatz.forumprofi.de/notensatz-mit-musescore-f12/vorabversion… and following. There the notes moved into their correct position when changing the fond from Emmentaler to Gonville or vice versa.

Nearly fixed.
1. Open attached score (produced in 1.3).
Result: The noteheads don't align.
Note: The score was taken from here - is it because it's a small stave?

Is this now fixed?

I found a few instances.
CASE 1:
1. Open attached MusicXML (produced in 1.3 - can also be produced in 2.0).
Result:
Note: Cannot be seen in the mscz, which I also attach - I think it was produced in 1.2, but saved in 1.3.
CASE 2:
1. Open attached file (produced in 1.3).
Result:
Note: You can click on any of the minim or semibreves in the bass stave and 'Flip direction'.

Nearly :)!
For Case 1, look at the final crotchet in Voice 2.
For Case 2, I'm not sure if the note head of minims should move every time it's flipped?
Using MuseScore 2.0 Nightly Build (7bb794d) - Mac 10.7.5.
are you sure you checked with the right version?
For case 1 the heads align
For case 2 the whole/half heads do not move when direction is flipped
Latest build 721a479, Win8 64bit. The half-notes in case 2 do move for me, a few pixels to the right when flipping from up to down, and return when flipped back. The dotted half in the second bar shows it even better when zoomed in as the entire image shifts slightly to the left because the note shifts to the right. Unbeam the eighth notes in the last measure and flip them and they shift too.
Yes.
The alignment of the semibreves in the second bar of Case 2 was corrected, but other things weren't quite right.
Just checked with the latest commit as well.

the half notes must move to align with quarter notes as the notehead is wider; whole notes are centered on quarter notes...
#15 can you be more specific on whats not right?
The 8th note is different I think. It's normal since the 8th note hook takes more room when up.
Werner, could you make a screenshot of each case and the version you are using?
attached two pdf's case1.pdf case2.pdf
Thanks.
Case 1: There's still some problems with alignment:
1. The stems of the second semiquaver and the first demisemiquaver.
2. The first quaver and the crotchet.
Strangely, your PDF looks correct.
Case 2: The note head of the dotted minim moves slightly if flipped.

With 770b64b3ea I cannot reproduce the PDF linked by chen lung in #21 on Windows or Mac.
Can you try a nightly build maybe?
Case 1: I just tried again with a recent nightly c01860d and I can't reproduce Case 1 on Mac. It seems to be fixed.
Case 2: There is a very small moves when switch the stem of the dotted half note in the second measure. It could be due to font hinting. The bounding box looks also a bit off.
Case 1 is still reproducible.

You are opening the MusicXML file and not the MSCZ one! Why didn't you mention it?
So yes, I can reproduce Case1, on both Windows and Mac using the MusicXML file
MSCZ looks fine. So it's probably a problem of layout of the MusicXML file, the algorithm is not running in the same order? Maybe linked to the recent GP import issues? http://musescore.org/en/node/21928
I did say to open the MusicXML and that there was no problem with the MSCZ.
This seems fixed.
