How does the Soundfonts work in Synthesizer?

Hi,
I am super confused with how I am supposed to use these soundfonts. I have a gong soundfont I want to use for a project. I understand that if its at the top then it will overcome ALL of the instruments. Its just that one and the default Fluidmono soundfont. How do I get this soundfont to apply only to one instrument if possible in Musescore 2.1?
