Feature request: change background colour of a measure
Feature request: Ability to change the background colour of a measure.
Sorry if it already exists, I searched for it but didn't find anything else than changing the full background of the score.

There is no specific way to do exactly this, but you can add a line, set the thickness to match the height of the measure, and then set the color however you like. Or add a graphic. Is there a particular use case you have in mind?

Adding line: ok I have tried that but how can I send "behind" the bar? It hides the bar.
Note for the use case: it is for a "teaching" score for a dance with lot of changes between two ways to play the music. The idea what to set all the bars for one of the way in color to help the player.
As one would do with color on a printed score in fact.

It isn't possible to get it behind the bar, but you can change the transparency of the color, see also this comment: https://musescore.org/en/node/176256#comment-661056

OK, so you are basically looking to highlight a measure as a form of annotation. That's a use case we do hope to support directly at some point.
