Neumes, organum & medieval music
This is not strictly a MuseScore question. I know that you can't do Neumes with MuseScore, but does anybody know if there is an application somewhere that will write Medieval-style notation? (I already know how to write stemless notation and how to work around the time-signature problem. That is not what I am asking.)
I'd be interested in hearing what solutions other people have come up with for writing out plainsong and psalm chanting notation.

That looks like just what I am looking for. I'll check it out. Thanks
I always transcribe it to modern notation - it's less of a culture shock to the singers I work with, and I don't have to spend half the practice session explaining what the signs mean :)
Here is an example from my MuseScore account

There is in fact an open feature request for plainchant symbols to be added. The discussion is here: http://musescore.org/en/node/11104
Nothing is likely to happen before MuseScore 2 is out though.

Yeah, I, too, transcribe it to modern notation; but, occasionally, I want to write it out in the old way—usually, just for the look of it, not because I really need it. Thanks for the link to the plainchant discussion. I'll check it out,
