Shortcuts for Articulations/Ornamentation for multiple placements

• Jun 11, 2017 - 06:49

Maybe I'm not on the pro version, but one thing that has bugged me a lot while using musescore is the fact that placing a staccato or tenuto or accents requires you to individually pick up the articulation/ornament and put it on a single note. This can be very annoying and frustrating, especially when you need to place a staccato on every note for the next 12 bars. Why can't there be a shortcut or a hotkey that can replace clicking and dropping and can be used to apply for various amounts of notes? I really hope someone can assist me on this issue (and hopefully say I'm wrong and that this sort of thing exists already).

Also, there are shortcuts keys for the most common articulations. Select the notes you want then press Shift+S for staccato, Shift+N for teunto, Shfit+V for accent, etc. But as mentioned, even for the rest that don't have shortcuts, you never need to use drag and drop, and you certainly don't need to do it one note at a time. Just select the notes then double-click the desired palette item to apply that to everything in the selection.
