Red notes???
I have just recently started using MusicScore, and was trying to change a Score from Piano to Violin. But when i changed the instrument a few of the notes turned red. Some of the now red notes were notes one cannot play on a violin but the others are some you can play. also i am wondering how i can change the rest of the Score to Violin notes instead of Piano. I as i said before this is my first time using MusicScore to transpose music, so i am very confused and would love any help!

Welcome
Not sure what you mean, "Change the rest of the score" - I thought you said you changed it already?
Red notes are definitely unplayable according to the standard definitions of the ranges. Feel free to attach the score if you think there are notes that shouldn't be red.
What MuseScore is very gently reminding you of ... is the fact that a Piano and a Violin are very different instruments! :-D If you are indeed trying to take a piece of music that was composed for piano, and now to move it to a violin part, then you should very keep in mind that this will not be a simple move.
Welcome aboard...
Regarding changing a score from piano to violin...
1. Are you transcribing from a piano score written on a grand staff (i.e. one treble clef together with one bass clef)?
If so, the piano's range extends lower (and also higher) than the violin's range - that's why you see the colored noteheads. For more info. about colored noteheads, see:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input#coloring-of-notes-out-of-r…
which also tells how you can disable the feature.
If you wish to transcribe the piano bass clef notes, you may need a different instrument (viola, cello, double bass) with a lower range.
-OR-
2. If you are simply transcribing the melody line (e.g. from the piano treble clef) and you encounter notes out of the 'playable' range, you have two choices:
a) select a phrase of the melody which contains the colored note(s), and press Ctrl+↑ or Ctrl+↓ (for Mac: ⌘+↑ or ⌘+↓) to increase/decrease the pitch(es) by one octave. For info. on selecting a bunch of notes, see:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/selection-modes#range-select
Doing this will place the musical phrase into the playable range - if you don't mind the octave shift.
b) if you do mind the octave shift, then you can transpose the whole melody either up or down to a key that the violin can handle. See:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/transposition
If you need more help, please attach your score to your forum post with an explanation of exactly what you wish to accomplish.
