Changing instrument number mid-score
The picture I have attached to this post is one of many songs I have been working on. As you can see, the vocal measures only appear a few bars into the score. Is it at all possible to replicate this effect in musescore? How about adding other instruments in the middle of the score?

Hide empty staves...
An old 'how to' for some idea https://musescore.org/en/node/24765

Okay, but how about adding new instruments in the middle of a score? This is handy info, but not exactly what I wanted.

To __add__ instruments to your score use any of the following options:
* Select one or more instruments in the left column and click Add.
* Double-click an instrument in the left column.

Actually it *is* exactly what you want :-). The way it works in MuseScore as well as pretty much all other notation programs is, you add the instrument for the full duration of the score, add the notes you want, then use "Hide empty staves" to make the instrument disappear when not needed. The effect is exactly what you want.
