Setting the tempo for a Midi export
I want to use the midi output from MuseScore as input to Audacity.
The first thing I notice is that when I set a tempo by creating and editing Tempo Text, the playback is at the wrong tempo. My piece is in 3/4 and I set the tempo at Andante [quarter note symbol]=90. However I find then that the playback is at 120 bpm.
The second is that, without the tempo text, the playback can be set at 90 using the play panel, but when exported as midi and imported into Audacity, the tempo is 100 bpm.
How can I get the correct tempo in the midi output?
I would also be interested in a workaround to change the tempo within Audacity.

Make sure that tempo in the play panel is at 100%. Right click the andante, tempo properties, and set the bpm to the valye you want.
You are aware that Audacity cannot receive MIDI input directly?

Audacity is not a MIDI sequencer it is sample based.
If you want to manipulate MIDI in this way you need a proper sequencer such as Anvil or Ardour
you can export .wav or .flac from Musescore.
Then, importing into Audacity, you can use Audacity's 'change tempo' effect.
(I don't recommend doing extreme tempo changes, though)
