Opening a Backup File
I was working on a piece, and musescore crashed. When I tried to open it again, it said I had a bad file descriptor. So, I found he backup copy. I was eventually able to rename it in Windows Explorer. I could remove the . period in front of the title, but not the comma behind it. It is still a .mscz, file, so I cannot open it. How can I fix this?

the comma at the end.
Attach file if you have problems.
They can be useful, on the main page on the right: "How to".

I have tried removing the comma, but on musescore, the file isn't found, and Explorer won't allow me to remove it, because it is only in the file description, not the name. In musescore, it is in the name.

This is the original. Is there any way can you try to fix it?
Thank you.

I tried without success. The file is corrupt. You can see that the backup is 208.84 KB, the original 283 bytes. In practice, a blank page.

I am guessing you have Explorer set up to not show file extensions? That is generally a very bad idea. Turn off that option and you can edit the file extension normally.

Thank you. That took care of everything.
