Playback of strings

I wasn't able to figure it out myself so here goes nothing:
Everytime I use a contrabass, cello, viola, or violin, random notes are played with the "col legno" technique, even if I manually set it to détaché through the text, or normal through a staff text. This problem always occurs while selecting notes, and seemingly random notes are chosen while in playback. Changing the soundfont from musesounds to msbasic does not help either.
I'm clueless on what to do, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
