Issue with MuseScore - Words now music fonts

For the past 2 months, I have not been able to open MuseScore 4 and have a normal screen appear with properly formatted words in ANY language. Many of the words have become music fonts (such as bass clef, treble clef, other notation, etc,, instead of actual words.

When I try to follow the prompts (such as SAVE), the button that one would press to select SAVE now looks like a random music fonts.

It started to happen some time in December so I actually uninstalled and deleted the program. Downloaded the latest version at the time 4.4.3 (with update), rebooted, and it still did not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
