How to make repeat happen again?

The form of a song I'm composing is like this: AABAABAA. At the end of A, I put a repeat barline. I also put one at the end of B, but marked it x3 in the measure settings (so it repeats twice). However, during playback, it goes through AABA, but then skips right to B without repeating A. How can I make this form work? Thanks!
