If by "reference marker" you mean rehearsal marks, these can already be sequenced automatically. If you apply them by double clicking the palette item, they are assigned in order. And at any time, you can select a range (or Ctrl+A) to select all, then use Edit / Tools / Resequence Rehearsal Marks. You can also have numeric markers, just type the number. These can also be sequenced and resequenced automatically in the same way.
Assuming by "beat numbers" you mean text to label the beat, you can do this using staff text. Could also be done using lyrics, chord symbols, or figured bass, depending on what you are actually trying to achieve. An example would help.
As for "reintroduce general text style", I'm afraid I cannot guess what that might mean. Can you explain in more detail?
