Option to create non-slur curved lines

I think there's a bit of a shortcoming in the inability to create new types of curved lines that are distinguished from slurs in the score. Slurs have a distinctive look ('thicker in the middle'), which other kinds of notation such as pitch bends could do without. You can get around this using a graphic insert, but this is quite time-consuming and involves creating a transparent image using software like Pixlr.
