Editable MIDI attributes
This question is sparked by a recent discussion regarding guitar strumming and playback of score elements.
Not so much a feature request as a question as to whether this is already possible in Musescore. If this topic is covered elsewhere, please excuse this question, but I have been unable to find this information using search. I also recognize that for the most part these issues are outside the general mission of Musescore.
Is it possible to edit MIDI attributes on a global basis, part by part, or for individual notes? MIDI events like 'note-on' seem to be anchored to position 0 of each beat division, whereas live music would find the start of a note somewhere NEAR the beat.
Other events, like velocity (volume) are similarly randomized in live playing, but tied to a default setting on score playback. (Yes, it's possible to set the MIDI interpretation of score dynamics and accents, but I'm talking about human randomness)
Other events like pitch bend, portamento and note pressure seem to be absent as well.
I might have thought that the 'inspector' panel would give access to MIDI events, but I so far I can't see anything of that sort.
If any of these functions are already available, please point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Tom

You could give the piano-roll editor a try

Thanks, Jojo. That certainly gives control of some of the attributes I am thinking of.

For the manipulations needed for such effects as 'guitar strum' the piano roll editor isn't
really useful. You'd spend hours/days changing the note onset times of all strummed notes
in a piece. That kind of information should be easily accessible from a plugin.
