Templates meta tags
Hello,
In order to standardize my scores (layout, font, punto settings etc.) I created a blank score. In order to add certain informations to pages I use certain meta tags that I created. I tried to save my blank score as style, template etc but none of them include meta tags. When I try to open my meta tags are gone. The only way to use everything as I wanted (or use in different computers) is to open the original file and save it with "save as". But it may cause problem for some users like ruining the blank score etc. Opening the program with the score that I created is also an option, however it may cause the same problem too.
I want to ask two questions in this sense.
1. Is there a way to save my blank score like ":/data/My_template.mscz". If I succeed this I will not have remind everyone to "save as". When I choose my original score it in this dialogue box it opens with it but saves on it too.
2. Will saving templates that we created include the meta tags that we created? Because apparently meta tags cannot be saved or tranferred on templates.
Sorry for long thread. Help me please :)

the : in the path indicates a file that is embedded into MuseScore, at compile time, so nothing you can replace without (re)building MuseScore yourself from the sources.
Indeed MuseScore takes only the style settings and the staves from a template, not any of the meta tags nor any manual settings to certain elements, nor images.
The templates will include all those, but new score created from these templates will not.
To prevent accidential overwrites at a Save As, you could write protect your 'templates' (in quotes, as they are not templates in the MuseScore sense)

Thank you very much for quick reply. This will do for now. Hope to save meta tags in later versions :)

For Images there is (now) a feature request, see #238856: Images from templates should propagate to scores created from those templates, feel free to make one for meta tags
