I spent 4 hours designing this piece for a soundtrack im making, and after i left it and came back today it was corrupted even tho it was written properly here is the error message:

To fix your score see https://musescore.org/en/node/54721

And update your MuseScore 2.0.3 to 2.1, this might very well have the problem fixed that corrupted your score, you most probably fell foul of one of the issues that had been fixed in 2.1, see https://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/release-notes/release-note…

This score is a real mess, and you're probably better off rewriting it from scratch rather than trying to fix it.

It was due to this issue: https://musescore.org/en/node/152506

So, one of the ways (the better) to avoid this is to update to 2.1 version.

(the other way is to understand that a pickup measure, eg one beat instead of four, is not indicated by the time signature 1/4, but with a quarter rest in a 4/4 time signature: directly via the creation wizard, or, afterwards by changing the actual duration measure in Measure Properties)
