Mute/Stopped Sounds on other Brass / Woodwinds
I'm currently trying to transcribe Danse Macabre, which requires that Horns, Oboe, and Bassoon be muted/stopped periodically in the song, but currently, only trumpets have a muted SoundFont. It would be really nice if you could expand this from the trumpets to other brass/woodwinds.

Problem with that is that in a GM compatible soundfont there is no such sound for muted horn, oboe, basson, trombone etc, just for trumpet
Keeping in mind what Jojo said, if you have a sound font with the muted/stopped instrument, you can select trumpet in the instruments, change all the name to the appropriate instrument in the staff properties and select the correct sounds in the mixer. The problem is to find the sound font.
Horns (and Brass) OK. also Strings...
But: Due to its nature it can not be muted for Fagot, Oboe and other Woodwinds/Reeds. (sound comes from the open tone holes)
For this reason, works containing mute for these instruments are not common. (It can be found in some special works). And sound banks do not have this kind of sound.
PS:If you close the bell part with something (corks, clothes etc.), the sub-registers will have a tone difference , but will not produce a result at medium and especially high registers. (Some motes available for sax and woodwinds; named: volume silencer.)
There are some materials for the mouthpiece, but I do not think will give it the result.
