Exporting Audio Files
I can't export any kind of audio file other than MIDI, it pops up with an error message saying it can't write it into wav, ogg, etc. I feel like I've just forgotten to do something important, anyone who can help?

What version of MuseScore, which OS, what are the language settings?

OK, all my therories busted then...
If an older version of Windows, be sure to explicitly add the correct extension to the filename.

Older Windows here means XP and Vista, which are know to have an issue with the file selector and extensions.
But at a certain time we also had issue with the translations that might cause some extensions not to save, so updating translations might help.
No one mention making sure the lame library is installed. Is this only for mp3 or does it affect other audio files?

It is only needed for mp3.
Do you copy the full message here?
Or are you taking screenshot and attach here?
I suppose you did export via file-->export and you had choose the correct file of type.
Maybe it could be useful to run MuseScore from command line (maybe also with "MuseScore -d"), if there's an useful output:

note: Not familiar with Windows 10, sometimes it's useful to upgrade/downgrade the audio driver, but I'm afraid (and only a further suggestion) this is more useful with errors of playback an not with your request.
