Does NoteWorthy Composer 2 support MusicXML? If so then export the score to MusicXML. See [[nodetitle:export]] .

Unfortunately NoteWorthy 2 doesn't export to that, it only exports to MIDI and NWC text file
Thanks anyway!

In case it helps getting NWC files into MuseScore, NWC 2 also exports to NWC 1.x (as well as MIDI and NWCTXT). *j new MuseScore user contributing to old thread :-)
If you have any old files from before version 2.0 then this might help: http://www.geocities.com/juria90/nwc.html (It supports versions 1.50, 1.55, 1.70, and 1.75).

I am also a Noteworthy Composer convert, and I have a lot of my old files in NWC format. They are all version 2, so I bet I can't use that tool.
How well does the Midi import work? I will try importing my music that way.
I quickly developed a very first draft of a nwctxt to musicXML conversion process.
You can try it at http://nwc2musicxml.appspot.com/
See the supported elements on the webpage. Please report any problem.

Noteworthy manual doesn't use this word....
I fed a nwc file to your given address, and received a test.xml file empty.....

In Noteworthy 2.0, go to File->Export and choose NWC Text File in the "type" Combo box

lasconic;
Just tried to check the new ptions in your nwc2musicxml app. I used the nwctest file for hall of the mountain king that I had used for previous testing. The app converets it and downloads the musicxml file, however as soon as I try to open the musicxml file with Musescore beta release it immediately crashes musescore. attacheed is the music xml file produced. If tyou need moe info give me a shout.

Keith

The attached file opens without crash with the current trunk of MuseScore and you can hear music.
Obviously there are some problems with slurs.
See mscz attached.

I was just looking back over our previous offline correspondence on this app and it appears that most of the problems have been slur related. thought we had pretty much covered them the last go aound but they appear to be raising there ugly heads again.
I have run a smaller piece that shows the same type of slur problems. Do you prefer to continue here or should I email the files and report as before. Let me know what is most convenient for you.

Keith

If you have a small score to reproduce the bug, you can send it by email.
It's better not poluting this forum I guess. I still need to clean and open source the converter and make a musescore plugin for it.

In the demo 2.0 Noteworthy, there is but .nwc in the type combo.
I'll ask the writer of the file to produce the nwctxt file.
Thanks for the information.

I got the nwctxt file, and it was readily transformed to xml
