Copying notes only.. without chords
I find my self wanting to copy only notes, or only chords, pretty frequently.
Is there a way to do this?
I know if I only copy a few notes, they will copy without the chords. But as soon as I select all the notes in a measure, the entire measure is selected with the chords.

Can you share where to find "selection filter"?

Click on "Selection Filter" in "View" and you'll see it appear.

Thank you @BSG
I'm not 100% sure what you are trying to do.
If by chords you mean chord symbols written above the measure, then you can use the selection filter (F6 toggles it) to not select them.
If you mean you select a measure that does not have chord symbols, then select a few notes, some of which are chords, then MuseScore will select entire chords only. Internally, when you select a few notes (that are not chords) using click the first note and shift click the last note, MuseScore actually copies the chord information from each note (which consists of one note each). You cannot use ctrl+click to add notes to the selection for a copy function. If you try this, then nothing will be pasted at the destination. You can use copy and paste on a single note, but this will only copy and paste the pitch of the note.

Sorry.. I meant chord symbols. I wasn't aware of the functionality of the selection filter.
