Slides (again...)
As a bass player I really miss the option to add a standard 'slide' symbol in the notation of bass parts, like this:
1. Slide to a note
2. Slide from a note
3. Slide between notes
The existing glissando symbol can only be applied between two notes.
The only other option is using the 'line' tool and tinker with begin and end points to make the line diagonal, but this gives time consuming issues:
- These lines can't be copied
- When anything changes in the spacing between notes (which happens quite often) the lines are all over the place: the position doesn't seem stick to the note it belongs to.
There has been talk before on the forum about 'slides', but I thought that mentioning it again might help it's priority. At the moment I'm transcribing a range of bass parts and the issues with the existing tools take up way too much energy. In bass playing 'slides' are common, parts without them are hard to find. A standard 'slide' symbol really would make life much easier.
By the way: I'm using Musescore on Mac (OS X 10.6 and 7).

Slides into or out of a single note are already implemented for 2.0, with custimzation of their shape as for slurs. Slides between two notes can be implemented as a gliss, as you have seen.

Okay, that's great!
The more I hear about (solved bugs in) 2.0, the more I wish it was already there :-)
