1,3; 2,4 voltas
How do I make this work (file attached)? The first volta (measure 3) should repeat twice, but it repeats once. I've seen somewhat similar cases where increasing the play count from 2 to 3 (in measure properties) works. I don't understand why I should have to manually adjust this, or why it should be 3 instead of 2, but in any case it just makes the problem worse by playing two measures simultaneously.
Am I right in assuming that version 2.1 can't handle this? Is there a workaround? Did I do something wrong?

A workaround: 1VoltaProblem.mscz
With not workaround.
The properties of the voltas should not be treated as are the voltas of a multiple cross endings but as the voltas of 2 independent repeats ( see their properties ).
The number of repeats in measures properties of measure 4 should be placed at 3.

Thank you, cadiz1. That does solve the problem, albeit with a little more effort than I had hoped.
Thank you Miré°. That does solve the original problem, by some logic that I don't understand, but it introduces another, more serious problem: measures 1 and 4 are played simultaneously.
Here is what the manual says about it ( https://musescore.org/en/handbook-notation/voltas ):
"If you want one volta to be played only on certain repeats and another volta on other repeats, enter the repeat times in a comma separated list. In the example below, this volta will be played during repeat 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7." As far as I can tell, my example is written exactly according to the manual, but it doesn't work.

It's an unresolved bug. Another unresolved bug : the voltas settings for multiple (cross) endings are totally illogical and unintuitive in this version of MuseScore.

I see. Thanks. Now that I think about it, playback across repeats is not a critical issue.
