Slur staccato in muse sounds
If I specify slur and staccato at the same time, the slur is ignored.
The ninth bar of the sample shows both in use, and the tenth bar shows only staccato.
The sound source is muse sounds.

Slur should mean legato and that's the opposite of staccato. You'd need to make up your mind what you want, MuseScore picks one of the two, and it picks staccato as it can't do legato anyhow

In reality, at least for strings, it's not an unusual notation and quite common. It just means you play all notes connected with a slur in the same bow direction, e.g. upbow staccato wise (you have to lift the bow for each note). If the music is very fast it will be more like a ricochet.

In which case it indeed is a staccato and plays as such

Thank you very much for all your opinions.
For this part, I will change the sound source to ms-basic.
MuseScore doesn't play slurs anyway. You get to decide which is more important: notation or playback. I find that sometimes I need two scores. One for playback and one to hand real players.
