Copying or propagating chords from one instrument to the entire score?

I would appreciate advice on how one can copy the chords from one instrument to all the other instruments in an ensemble score. Of course, I'd want the chords transposed when copied to a transposing instrument. Direct help or a simple link to the appropriate information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
