Margins
Is there a way I can set my own left and right margin dimensions?
The system seems to only allow the even page left margin and the odd page right margin to be of identical dimensions - this can cause difficulty in exceeding the printer's margins (A4) and thus losing the end of the rightmost bar of the stave.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand the problem you are trying to solve - can you post a sample score and more information about what you want to do differently? You can have different left & right margins for single page layouts or different inner & outer margins for two-page layouts. I can't think of any situations where thse two options would not be sufficient.

Hello Marc
The problem is that in Layout - Page Settings the system automatically sets whatever dimension I enter for the odd page right margin to the even page left margin also, and vice-versa. To avoid the printer cutting off the last few mm of the rightmost bar I need to increase the right margin width and reduce the left margin correspondingly.

That is exactly these margins are about, to assure that if nothing on odd pages gets cut of, the same is true for the even pages (and the back of the odd ones)

I don't understand. If you have the page size set correctly, and an outer margin (even left, odd right) set correctly, nothing will ever get cut off. And even if you set too small a value, it's cut off on both sides (even left and odd right), which is your clue that you simply chose too small a margin for your printer to handle. Nothing MuseScore can do about that - you need to choose a large enough margin for your printer to handle.
So something isn't adding up. If you continue to have trouble, please attach your score so we can understand better.

Thanks Marc - as always you have led me to the solution.
For some reason I do not understand (as all my printing without exception is on to A4 paper), the paper width on this file was set to 230 - should be 210.
Correcting the figure has solved the problem.
Thanks too to JoJo and Mike for their kind help.
In Layout->Page settings you can change margins on all sides of a page and set different margins for odd and even pages.

Unless I am missing something, that does not seem to be the case with my version 2.1 running on Windows 10.
Whatever value I enter for the right margin of odd page is immediately repeated for the left margin of even page (and vice-versa), similarly for the odd page left margin and even page right margin (and vice-versa).
If I try to reduce or increase the value of the automatically entered value, then its opposite follows it.
I can see how this feature would have a value in keeping the music away from punch holes, but in my case that is not a benefit, as the scores are presented in transparent pockets and I need to be able to position the music to suit my printer.

EDIT: never mind, posts crossed, I see the problem was simply a wrong page size. Still, for future reference:
In which case, assuming you want to do the two page layout*, all you need to do is set both inner and outer margins to a value at least as large as whatever your printer requires. Most printers can handle a 1/2" margin, which I guess is around 12mm, so just make sure you set both inner and outer margins to at least that.

Yes,
Left and right margins are mirrored.
The purpose of this is that the starting point of the printing is in the same place on both sides of the print.
