Update to version 2.1 and this behaviour will not arise.

No click here with 2.1 (Windows 7/10 and default soundfont): Clar.mscz
With this same attached test file created with the 2.1, I hear the clicks by loading it in the 2.0.3

I've remember something about synthesizer volume being too high causing this to happen. Could that be the case?

It is still audible at lower volumes.
It must be a faulty clarinet patch in FluidR3Mono_GM.sf3

I'm on a Mac. It is there in both 2.0.3 and 2.1

This problem exists in version 2.0.3.
It shouldn't occur on 2.1.
The problem isn't related to SoundFont, it's related to the synthesizer (fixed in 2.1).
