Midi board not working
I've been using this Presonus PS-49 midi board for months and all of a sudden, it doesn't work. Everything seems to be in order, and I did everything correctly, no differently than I have in the past. When it didn't work the first time, I tried connecting through a different USB port and that fixed the problem, but now it fails me again and none of the USB ports work. The computer recognizes that it is connected so I think that it may be a problem with Musescore itself.

yes, I started musescore after turning the keyboard on and plugging it in as I always do which is what really has me stumped. Factory settings changed nothing either.

Do you have a second cable available?
Maybe the USB plug is damaged

I do not, but the computer says that it recognizes the connection so I don't think it's a problem with the cable, port, or keyboard.

what OS are you on, and what are your settings in Edit / Preferences / I/O?

for I/O the port audio box is checked, and I'm running on windows 10

Just because your system recognizes it doesn't necessarily mean it's fully functional. It can get a bit sneaky. So if nothing else works, I'd definitely try another cable.
