Crescendo and decrescendo
I read the final sentence: "Playback of crescendos and diminuendos is only effective from one note to the next; it currently is not possible to change the dynamic over the course of a single note. By default, hairpins will affect playback only if dynamics are used before and after the hairpin."
In the example below, I managed to get a decent 'descrescendo' but to my surprise, the notes played further to the hairpin with 'pp' (3rd bar) are played as loud as a 'mf'. Shouldn't the last 'pp' continue to affect the volume?
Also, there was talk that work was being done to resolve the issue of dynamics over just one note. Any progress there?

Thank you, but isn't 'diminuendo_ _ _ _ ' the same a the hairpin '>'?
