Sliding lyrics along a note

Apologises if covered, I did some searching but Im missing something.
entering notes for a song, done
entering lyrics by typing with space or - to shift to the next note works most of the time.
But then I look up and realise I should have skipped a note ie the line of lyrics is one note out.
I hoped I could highlight the lyrics from the error to the end and simply shift it all one note to the right for eg. But this does not seem to work for me ;(
