how do you add a new bar it only lets me have one

as you can see in the picture there is only one how do you add multiple ones

Use "Add->Measures->Append One Measure" , or "Add->Measures->Append Measures..." menu options, or more simply click Control-B with the cursor in the last bar, to add as many bars as you like.
