Be sure to start MuseScore after connecting and turning on the keyboard. Also be sure to foloow the instructions on how to enter notes in the handbook under "Note input".
if you still have trouble, please say what OS, what version of MuseScore, and what settings you see in Edit Preferences / I/O.
Also, be sure you can get regular note input to work - enter a note using the mouse or computer keyboard first. Then if that works, while still in note input mode, try pressing a key on the MIDI keyboard to see if anything happens, and let us know.
