How do I change my copyright from 2107 to 2018?

I understand that the copyright notice I use on all my pieces is something called megadata and cannot be altered except as megadata. Whatever I have tried results in both my 2017 and the new 2018 notice showing at the bottom of the template page.
Ideas? thanks as always!
