Guitar Tuning

I am trying to copy over some music into MuseScore in tab format for guitar. I am unfamiliar with the diagram used for indicating the guitar tuning (see attachment), could someone explain what it means as far as tuning the actual guitar and in terms of how to adjust the Musescore instrument appropriately?
