Glitches and funnies (cresc. and decresc. lines all over)
Hi. The score attached looks fine when I uploaded onto MuseScore this morning. However, when it displays, all sorts of funnies suddenly appear (as if they were hidden in the computer's file). How do I get rid thereof to be able to post it without these funnies?
Thanks
Peet

Well, that score has never been uploaded to musescore.com (or you deleted the traces of that, on musescore.com and in the score's properties)
It seems to stem from an XML import.
I don't see any funnies here

Apparently, you have removed your score ("Still as the night") from the musescore site, right?
From what I saw before the removal, I noticed this eg in measure 31
Is it you meant that ?

No reply (or yet)?
I first thought to this issue: #250381: Wandering hairpin in score with mmrest & invisible staves
But there is not invisible staves in this score.
So, what I observe would be related to the layout of the hairpins in a score vs. on the musescore site.
1) On your score, the layout (measures 31-32) is on two pages and in another system - image below.
Note also, the offsets of the hairpin in your score measure 32
2) Observe now, when you upload your score on musescore com, the layout has changed: measures 31 and 32 are "associated" at the beginning of a same system - image below.
And so, you get a collision between the hairpins (hairpins of measure 32 have jump in the previous measure 31)
Not so easy to reproduce from scratch (since it depends of a certain layout in a score)
Nevertheless, you can avoid this by reseting the default position of the hairpins in measure 32 (select hairpin -> shortcut Ctrl + R, or apply reset in Inspector), and measure 45. Maybe elsewhere also, I don't checked all.

The offset is not large enough to be causing that issue though?

Another explanation?
In the score, the measures 31 and 32 are on two different pages.
No sure, but I would guess it increases the effect of the customized offset of the hairpin.

No. But if I force those measure to be on the same page (add a page break to measure 30) I still don't see any glitch

Ok, so, it's another solution to solve the problem. But the users don't know this, they can not guess it / anticipate it.
EDIT: a "page break"?
A line break in enough.

Yes, that is what I meant, amongst others, e.g. right at the end there are crescendos after the pp dynamic, something I never entered on the score.

Sorry for my absence, I am at work...
Yes, the moment I saw the undesired result, I deleted it. The problems only appear when published.

Thanks for your assistance. It seems I will have to do some cleaning up and then start afresh with the cresc. and decres. indications.
Kind regards
Peet

Ok, so, as explain in the comments above, reset the default position of the hairpins or add a line break to change the layout.

It was the crescendo hairpins at the end of the score, last bar: going from pp (dynamic) to louder (crescendo hairpin). I have never entered it there in either Sibelius or in MuseScore on this particular score.

To prevent the wandering hairpins do 2 things.

"It was the crescendo hairpins at the end of the score, last bar: going from pp (dynamic) to louder (crescendo hairpin)"
You mean:
Reset the default position of these last hairpins is not enough to have a good display on musescore com
But it works by reseting the default position of all hairpins in your score (right-click on a hairpin -> select -> all similar elements -> Ctrl + R)
Result after uploading your score on musecore com:
As you said in a previous comment: "It seems I will have to do some cleaning up and then start afresh with the cresc. and decres. indications."
