Have made bass clef stave invisible, but can't get bar line before clef to be shorter
Hi, I'm trying to write some broken chord and arpeggio sheets. I want my broken chords on just a treble clef stave, then on a new system on a bass clef stave. I want the arpeggios on a grand stave. All will be on the same page.
I have written the treble clef broken chords and have made the bass clef stave invisible for that system and shortened the end bar line in the inspector, so it only covers the treble clef stave, but I can't do anything with the bar line before the clef at the beginning of the system. I have deleted the brackets but am left with a bar line that is covering the invisible bass clef stave as well and looks silly. Is there any way of making this just fit the treble clef stave? It doesn't seem to be editable from what I have tried so far.
Thanks for any help

I don't know if this is the best way to do this, but I have found a workaround. I right clicked the problem bar line and chose select option and selected all similar elements in same stave. This brought back the inspector as made the end bar line editable. I was then able to make both bar lines invisible and go back into the inspector to make the end bar line visible again, keeping other bar line before the clef, invisible. If anyone has any better ideas, please share.
Thanks
It's easier to help if you attach your score so we can see exactly what you mean. It sounds like you tried making the measures within the bass clef staff invisible, which is not the way to do what I think you are trying to do. I think what you really should be doing is not using invisible staves, but Style / General / Hide empty staves.
If that doesn't help, please attach your score so we can understand and assist better.

Many thanks, Marc. On first try that seems to help. What a simple solution! Thank you. I'll attach the score if I run into problems. Thanks again, much appreciated.
