delete rest

I want to remove the semiquaver rest at the end of bar 1 in the attached file and dot the quaver at the front of the bar. Can someone tell me how please?

Cut the notes after the quaver (you can use ctrl+x for this), select the quaver, press . then paste the notes at the new next rest (ctrl+v)
