MS 2.1 Portable (871c8ce) / Win 10

In the layout menu of MS 2.1 portable, the terms "Increase Stretch" "Decrease Stretch" "Reset stretch". have already been replaced by "Increase Measure Width", "Decrease Measure Width" and "Reset Measure Width." AFAIK, these changes are not due until MS 2.2.

The portable English (GB) version is correctly showing "Stretch". But the portable English (US) version is showing "Measure Width" instead.

We cannot fix MuseScore 2.1 portable. It's released. The only reason why you would see a different string could be that you upgraded the translations. If it's the case, just delete the translations and it should work.

I've found two files in the MuseScorePortable > Other > Source folder : mscore_en_US.qm file and mscore_en_GB.qm. Are these the files that need to be deleted?

no, in MuseScorePortable\Data\settings\locale\, and there also instruments_*.qm
Bot those files you named shouldn't be there either
