Insert several bars of a grand staff at the beginning of a song. Append several bars of a grand staff at the end of a song.
I'm entering a song in Musescore. Specifically, a lead sheet. The song itself is a single voice in treble clef.
At the beginning of the piece, I'd like to insert several bars of a grand staff, treble and bass clefs, to set an intro melody
At the end of the piece, I'd like to append several bars of grand staff, treble and bass clefs, to set an outtro melody.
The final result would be something like this...
... A line or two of grand staff (a piano part with treble and bass clefs).
... My song in treble clef. (No bass clef.)
... A line or two of grand staff (a piano part with treble and bass clefs).
Is this possible in Musescore ??

Press the Insert key on the measure(s) you want to append. I don't know if this answers your question, but it might help.

This did help. It pointed me towards the obvious.
@Mark Wild , use 'Hide empty staves' (see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/layout-and-formatting#style-edit-gene…)

'Hide empty staves' did the trick.
But first I had to insert a few measures at the beginning of my score...
Then EDIT, INSTUMENTS, ADD STAFF to add the bass line...
Then I edited my score and entered the treble clef and bass clef part at the beginning...
Then STYLE, GENERAL, SCORE...
And clicked on 'Hide empty staves' -- which hid all of the empty bass staves except for the few at the beginning of my score which I'd entered.
Thank you for the tip. I received three responses to my question, the sum of which gave me the information I needed to complete my task.
