How do I move the measures together? I need the music as small as possible but having major trouble trying to figure out how to condense it.

There are basically 2 ways to make measures shorter. Select all the measures you want and press { until it stops doing anything - this will move notes closer together. Use Layout->Page settings... and lower the scaling number - this will shrink the entire score.
A third method worth mentioning is to go to Style / General / Measure and adjust some of the settings there. Reducing "Spacing" is basically the same as selecting all and pressnig "{" (Decrease Layout Stretch) - this is the default that the stretch commands start from. But also, reducing the "Minimum note distance and other settings can help reduce the width of measures without the need to actually make the staves smaller, which is what "Layout / Page Settings / Staff space" does.

4 years and a major version later... it is now in Format > Style > Measure resp. Format > Page settings > Staff space

Search engines are pretty unpredictable, and we have little control over how they prioritize things. Best to look at several results to find a recent one, if you encounter any threads this old.
