not essential but maybe having an instrument that only has one channel in the mixer that sounds like a violin/viola/cello

I know it's common for an instrument such as violin or trumpet to have multiple channels (for pizzacato or muted trumpet), however, I noticed for the trumpet, there are a several choices for instrument parts that sound similar to a trumpet (such as serpent, fiscorn, rag dung, conch, etc) that only have one channel (as a way to combat having too many channels in the mixer for those who want to decrease the number of channels they have in the mixer to have only one channel for the trumpet instead instead of two or three channels)...so it would be cool to have the same option of instrument choices for string instruments (for violin, viola, or cello) by having similar sounding instruments that sound like a violin but only has one channel in the mixer for instance... since just to have the basic three groups of string instruments (violin, viola, and cello used in a song), that's 9 channels right there just for those three instruments...which can be an overload if one wanted to include several other orchestra instruments in a song (like trombone, oboe, flute, bassoon, clarinet, trumpet, etc)... Not crucial or neccessarily needed but twould be snazzy. Thanks for being a dandy program : )

Create an instrument with the same tuning (C) as you instrument. Oboe is probably a good choice for Violin, Bassoon for Cello and I can't think of a good C instrument for the Viola, but you could use the Oboe or Bassoon and change the playable range.

After you enter one of the above mentioned instruments, change the instrument and part names in Staff Properties and the sound played in the mixer. You may want to change the range in the Staff Properties to keep colored notes from being displayed in the normal playing ranges of the string instruments.
