more than one gracenote?
Is there no way to enter more than one grace note before a note (consecutively, not as a chord). I am trying to figure out how to add two-note embelishments.

Just use the same method as adding the first grace note: "Create a grace note by dragging a grace note symbol from the notes palette to a main note."
Are you using a different method to create gracenotes? Or perhaps an older version of MuseScore?

I tried creating grace notes exactly they way you suggested, but it still creates a stacked chord of grace notes as opposed to consecutive grace notes.
I'm running Ubuntu studio, and I'm thinking that maybe somehow the new version of Musescore is not included in Updates? It says it is version 0.9.1 is the latest version when I go to the package manager, but it lists 0.9.3 on the website.
Is this a problem with Ubuntu, the Musescore release, or something in how my computer is setup?

Have you tried looking in the "Universal" backports repository, or upgrading to 8.04? I am a Windows user so I don't know about the specifics of this.

I'm interested in doing this as well. For me, dragging the desired grace note symbol to the main note simply creates a grace note of the same note in front of the note I've entered. Should I be doing something different?

You can change the pitch of the grace note after it is added to the score. Drag it up or down with the mouse. You can also use the arrow keys if the note is selected.
