modify voice sound or change to piano

I am just finishing a one-staff treble voice.
When I play it I can’t hear the notes.
They are like tied all together.
Is there a setting so it sounds different.
How can I change the treble voice staff to
a piano treble staff?

See #270996: No sound on upgrade to 2.2 if default soundfont was saved as default and the workarounds mentioned there, unless I misunderstand your problem, in which case we'd need to see the score.
Righ-tclick into staff, Staff properties, Change instrument

Or use the mixer (F10) to select a different playback sound?
